16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM

On November 25th 2023, The Caring Family Foundation launched 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence for the second year running, coinciding with International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls (EVAWG). The campaign aims to raise awareness of gender-based violence and domestic abuse and calls for the prevention and elimination of violence against Women and Girls.

In 2022, The Caring Family Foundation launched a UK Domestic Abuse Fund in partnership with Women’s Aid. This fund supports 16 “By and For” black and minoritised Domestic Violence (DV) organisations with specialist support that work with young girls at risk and provide psychological, legal and crisis support. To date, The Caring Family Foundation has supported 10,000 women and girls across the UK and Brazil.

OUR PLAN FOR THE FUTURE

See your donation make a difference.

Continue to fund support for survivors of domestic abuse with life-changing and lifesaving services.

Open a transformation and employability centre for women survivors of domestic abuse in London in 2024.

Provide women and girls with access to services and support, and invest in transformation pathways for women to become the decision makers of their lives.

I am so grateful for The Caring Family Foundation for seeing the importance in funding my position. I have been able to work with so many young women and girls in the community who would have remained silent about the abuse they were facing, had they not seen someone their age and from their culture discussing topics which others may find taboo. I’ve been able to shift the mindsets of not only young women and girls, but whole families too with my work.
