The Caring Family Foundation together with The Ivy restaurants support children and families struggling with the cost of living crisis

In honour of National Children’s Day on 14 May and International Day of the Family on 15 May, The Caring Family Foundation (TCFF) joined forces with The Ivy to host a lunch event in Westminster for more than 200 children and their families, with the support of Westminster Council Family Hubs and local children’s centres, schools and charitable organisations. Children and families enjoyed a delicious meal prepared and served by Ivy chefs, while children experienced an array of entertainment, including a bouncy castle, face painting, entertainer, balloon maker and ice cream van.

Richard and Patricia Caring, founders of The Caring Family Foundation and owners of The Ivy restaurants, attended the event to serve meals, share gifts and meet with children and families from the local area.

Patricia Caring, Co-Founder of The Caring Family Foundation, said: ‘Children are at the heart of all that we do at the foundation. As a parent, we all desire the best for our children, but most of all we want them to enjoy childhood for as long as possible. Globally children are being forced to grow up too quickly and take on concerns and responsibilities beyond their years. This has been exacerbated by the cost of living crisis and parents struggling to provide meals for themselves and their families. Today we created a moment in time for children to enjoy the innocence of childhood within their local community.’

The Caring Family Foundation has produced and distributed over two million nutritious meals for children in need across the UK and Brazil. Following the success of their joint Christmas lunches in London and Manchester, The Caring Family Foundation is pleased to partner again with The Ivy to create a memorable community event.
